Baptist Clinical Research Institute
The Baptist Clinical Research Institute (BCRI), formerly known as the Baptist Clinical Research Center (BCRC), opened in 1989. The Institute has a reputation built on experience and dedication to the highest quality standards in research. BCRI conducts inpatient and outpatient phase I through IV clinical trials to assist in the development of innovative medical care for patients. Our solid base of experienced study management team combined with a strong vision for the future and dedicated investigators ensures an effective trial process.
BCRI staff works with physicians, pharmaceutical companies, the National Institutes of Health, the National Cancer Institute, the Gynecologic Oncology Group and other research organizations to test original ideas, new medical equipment and technology, and medications.

Leadership
Maggie DeBon, Ph.D.
Maggie DeBon, Ph.D. serves as the Executive Director for the Baptist Clinical Research Institute. Before coming to Baptist in 2014, Dr. DeBon was a Professor of Preventive Medicine at University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She has nearly 20 years of research funding from the NIH and several foundations. Maggie holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a subspecialty in Behavioral Medicine.
