Baptist Memorial Health Care in partnership with Baptist College of Health Sciences, offers a robust, intensive, experienced-based graduate medical education program, including residency programs that emphasize individual growth and professional development through world-class instruction and mentorship, to prepare the next generation of highly-skilled doctors and nurses.
Baptist Residency Programs
Baptist’s residency programs prepare the next generation of skilled, knowledgeable, compassionate health care providers with a practice-oriented curriculum and hands-on training that are both challenging and rewarding.
Our goal is to develop professional and clinical leaders in an immersive environment designed to build problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, enhance professional practice techniques, and further the development of leadership and teaching skills for each of our residents.

Family Medicine Resident Program
In partnership with Church Health in Memphis, Tennessee, our Family Medicine Residency is an urban/suburban program dedicated to creating outstanding family physicians with a commitment to providing care to patients and families from all walks of life.
Internal Medicine Resident Program
Our Internal Medicine residents work within the Baptist Memorial Health Care system to be fully prepared to practice medicine by mastering the required curricula, disciplines and technologies in a highly focused, tailored program. Program locations include Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle (Columbus, MS) and NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital (Jonesboro, AR). In July 2021, Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi (Oxford, MS) will be added as an additional program location.
OB-GYN Resident Program
A comprehensive medical specialty training program with emphasis on exposure to surgical, clinical and one-on-one instruction in multiple specialties including obstetrics, gynecologic pelvic disorders, maternal-fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, and reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Pharmacy Resident Program
Our 12-month pharmacy residency program builds on the Doctor of Pharmacy education and continues to develop clinical pharmacists for the medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions. These programs are available at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis and at three locations in Mississippi: Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford and Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven.
Radiology Resident Program
With a progressive four-year curriculum and access to advanced technology and equipment, you’ll receive world-class, personalized training and early exposure to mammography, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine, and other areas throughout your residency.
Graduate Level Nursing Education
The Baptist College of Health Sciences is leading the way in educating and inspiring the next generation of nurse practitioners. Our graduate level nursing program provides real-world training and personalized instruction and mentoring for RNs who have completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree to earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, considered the terminal degree for advanced practice.
